Mass Cell Activation Syndrome
this is a Condition where your immune system is compromised by alpha gal syndrome and constant allergic reactions increase the histamine level in your body to where your immune system can't tolerate much less handle the histamine levels. Your body goes into what is called Mast Cell Activation syndrome where even vegetables that are high in histamines can trigger you to have an allergic reaction
My struggle and understanding:
After being diagnosed with Alpha gal syndrome shortly after I was sent to the ER two times for eating vegetables. The first time I was eating guacamole I made it home to ensure the safety. Avocado and tomatoes are both high in histamines I was unaware of this. That my first hospital visit we assumed there was cross contamination but sorely mistaken and I ended up in the ER again for a second time and I had to take a EpiPen. The second allergic reaction I had to a vegetable was squash that had been in my fridge for a few days which I assumed was fine to eat cause it's a vegetable. But I had no idea that the histamine levels rise in vegetables and fruits even if they are low histamine while their freshness fades away. So now I have a two-day period rule that if I don't eat it within two days it's not good. My second ER visit I was diagnosed with Mast cell activation syndrome, and I have since went on a low histamine diet to avoid that type of allergic reaction again. Click the link below for a low histamine vegan diet. Of course you can add any meats and what on your personal diet however mine is vegan.
